Quality Assurance (QA) Manager

LogRhythm is seeking a senior quality assurance and software release engineer to work in our corporate office in Boulder, Colorado.  This individual will be responsible for coordinating and managing processes through quality assurance and product release.  Qualified candidates will have a technical background combined with extensive experience around software release and quality assurance.  This position requires someone comfortable as both player and coach.  The ideal candidate is a high energy individual who thrives in a high growth environment.

This person will have three areas of responsibility:

  • Build engineer – must have skills required to build LogRhythm software for delivery to QA.  Skills include experience with make/ant/maven, scripting languages on Windows and UNIX, source control systems, automated build tools, and building software in distributed build environments.
  • QA engineer – must have the skill required to execute test plans against the LogRhythm software and hardware.  Skills include: Windows services, UNIX daemons, UNIX software installation and configuration, basic Microsoft SQL Server administration, troubleshooting, and configuration.  Must be able to develop test cases and test plans for each release.  Must be able to develop and execute regression test plans.  Need to be able to establish an automated test environment.  Will have final signoff and responsibility for the overall quality of the product.
  • Release engineer – perform software package verification.  Handle required processes and paperwork required for official release of software/hardware to the field.  Must establish field patch and upgrade processes.  Will have final signoff on all product released to the field.

Required Skills

  • Experience with iterative development and QA methodologies (i.e., Agile)
  • Experience with .Net development and source code control technologies.
  • Significant experience testing and reviewing code written in the following languages:
    • C/C++
    • .Net (C#, Visual Basic)
  • Significant experience testing applications built on Microsoft SQL Server
  • Experience installing and configuring Windows Server operating systems
  • Experience with basic administration and use of Windows SQL Server 2000/2005
  • Comfortable installing and configuring *NIX based applications
  • Experience installing and integrating distributed client/server applications
  • A solid understanding of TCP/IP protocols and routing
